christmas decor

I love decorating the house each year for Christmas, while playing my favorite Christmas music. This year I changed up the Christmas decor in my living and dinning room, because I re-painted (I still need to show you the before and afters) and I didn’t want to have to buy all new decorations, so I got out my spray paint and got to work.

I spray painted some of these bulbs gold. I also made these little Christmas trees. I used gold poster board for the shape and then for one added felt leaves, for another I just covered in gold tissue paper and twine, one is just gold sparkled scrapbook paper and another is little paper confetti flowers glued on the cone and then spray painted. I just used supplies I had around the house.

I found these retro lights at a garage sale over the summer, two boxes for $4! I don’t think I will put them on the tree because I’m pretty sure the tree would burn down. They get so warm right when you plug them in. So I am using them everywhere else I can! And I can’t wait to use them for some Christmas pictures.

In my dining room I decorated with white and silver and also used some of the wood candles that I used for my Thanksgiving decor.
