I have seen people with little globe collections and think they are so cute. A while ago I found this globe at a thrift store and recently decided to change it up a little so that the kids could have fun drawing on it.

I just used some chalkboard paint and slowly painted the oceans. It took two or three coats. When that dried, I covered up the globed and spray painted the metal parts gold. The old color was looking a bit dingy. 

Parker especially, loves to draw on it. Usually, its pictures of our family sinking in the ocean. He thinks it’s funny 🙂
