Every time I go on vacation I love to eat as much of the local cuisine as possible… and lucky for me… Northern Michigan has a lot of ice cream and fudge! One of my favorite things to eat is Kilwin’s ice cream. You can actually find Kilwin’s stores outside of Northern Michigan, even though they originated there. I love their Traverse City Cherry, Chocolate and Toasted Coconut flavors.
Next up Lisa’s brownie from Cormack’s Deli, they are so chewy and delicious and gigantic!
I love the roadside stands along the highways in Michigan. And you really can’t beat Michigan cherries!
Tom’s Mom’s cookies has the most delicious cookies! My favorites are chocolate cherry and chocolate macadamia. I have tried to recreate these but I think it may be a life long venture.
