SPRAY PAINTED MUG

IMG_2965-b.jpg

The other day when I was making hot cocoa, I thought that my little mugs could use some sprucing up. So I cleaned and dried off the mug, put some tape on, protected the top part of the mug by taping on some newspaper and then sprayed it with some gold spray paint. Super easy and quick! If you want it just as a decoration, there’s no need to seal the paint. But if you are planning to use it and wash it (I recommend hand washing only) then put the mug in a cool oven, heat it to 300 degrees and let the mug bake for 30 minutes. Turn off the oven and let the oven cool before removing the mug-to make sure the temperature change isn’t too dramatic for the mug-to make sure it doesn’t crack.
