While making over my living room, I decided to update my mirror. This mirror was one of the first things my husband and I bought when we were living in an apartment almost 7 years ago. It is sometimes hard to find big mirrors that aren’t super expensive, so I knew I was going to makeover this mirror as opposed to buying a new one. I wanted it to be a bit brighter and match the rest of the room with this turquoise color.
The first thing I did was to cover the mirror with a texture cream and let it dry. That makes distressing the mirror a little easier.
I covered the mirror portion to make sure it didn’t get any paint on it, and spray painted the mirror gold.
When that dried, I painted it turquoise. I wanted the gold to show through the distressing.
I added a little banner, and done! It fits so much better in my living room.
