PLUM, MOZZARELLA + BASIL GRILLED CHEESE

IMG_2878Did you know that April is grilled cheese month? It seems every year I am reminded about it somehow so I always want to try new recipes. The market I go to always has cheese samples and new recipes for grilled cheese during this month. Today I want to share a recipe with you that I just made up. I love regular caprese sandwiches with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, basil and balsamic dressing so I just changed it up a little. by adding some fresh plums. I have made this with persimmons before and it was equally as good, my market didn’t have any persimmons so I improvised with plums and they were actually really good! Basically there’s no wrong way to make a grilled cheese!IMG_2860 IMG_2875
