I just love this time of the year, when the summer heat and humidity simmers down for about two months and we can enjoy some 65-75 degree weather. I kinda wish it lasted more like five months… because I’m not ready for the freezing temps headed our way in no time. But, for now, I will enjoy layering up my clothing and accessories. Today I want to share some of my cozy fall favorites with you.

ONE: A cozy oversized scarf. You can wear a scarf so many ways. I love to wear them like a shawl or cape. Anything plaid seems super fall to me, so of course wearing plaid is one of my favorite staples this time of year.

TWO: Denim. You can never have too much denim, okay maybe you can have too much denim HERE is an example when too much denim was not a good thing. Denim is such a neutral color it can go with anything and is a perfect layer.

THREE: Booties. I love this pair of suede wedge booties. This is the perfect time of year to wear them because here in the Chicago area, once the snow starts to fall and the sidewalks get layered in ice, I will be switching to my Sorel and Ugg boots, and would be terrified to slip on the ice with these wedge boots. But for now, they’re perfect.
