Fruit Salsa Three Ways

I love making my own salsa. Here are a couple of my favorite fruit salsas I make, especially during the summer months.

There are so many different variations when making a fruit salsa, but here are the basic ingredients I stick to for any type I make:

3 cups finely chopped fruits
2 tablespoons fresh herb
2 tablespoons finely chopped onion and or finely chopped pepper
1 teaspoon lime or lemon zest
2 tablespoons lime or lemon juice
1 tablespoon honey or sugar
1/2 teaspoon sea salt

For these particular salsas, I used (1) Apple and peach with onions and basil (2) Blueberry nectarine, red pepper red onion, basil (3) Cantaloupe, plum, basil, red onion.

I like to eat the fruit salsa with tortilla chips, pita chips, tacos, quesadillas or bbq sliders. My favorite is the apple and peach… seriously, I think every pulled pork slider should have apples on it!
