I know we just finished Thanksgiving and are still eating leftovers so Christmas may not be on your mind yet… but for me, I start thinking about Christmas treats back in October! This is by far one of my favorites and looks pretty too. Ever since we went to Belgium, anytime I’m at the store and see something that is Belgium chocolate, I just have to buy it! I came across these little Belgium dark chocolate dessert cups. There is a number of things that you could put in them, but I wanted to make some chocolate mousse-because it’s one of my favorite things.
However, I wanted to find a mousse recipe without eggs so I used this recipe. Then after the mousse set in the refrigerator for a few hours, I used a piping bag to put it in the little cups. I topped them with crushed peppermint. I think they make the perfect dessert for a holiday gathering or dinner party and they look so fancy even though they only take about a half hour to make and assemble.
